For five days there were free and open tastings. Mendoza and tourists in the Copa America enjoyed an outdoor event where good music and meals were included.
Yesterday ended “Mendoza came to America,” an event organized by the Ministry of Production, Technology and Innovation in the province aimed to promote the Argentine wine and enabled more than 1,100 people know the products of local wineries.
From Saturday 16 to Wednesday 20 were more than 25 wine tastings in which Mendoza and tourists, mainly South Americans could learn about wine, its production process and the wineries of Mendoza.
The main purpose of this tasting was to promote the Argentine wine, and so the Government invited the wineries to present and offer free tastings to those who came to Independence Square City.
Thus, each time, the central tent with capacity for 50 people, was filled to the wineries to present their products and promote them.
In addition to guided tastings, the program 365 along with Argentine wine, distributed fruits, spices and wine to those who passed through the stands. Also the music was present during the 5 days with DJs like Rustic, Leo Robin, Tropical Uther and Cooperative and VJs gave Centera Colorcrew, DR, Majo Boni and Flash Attack. While Zuccardi, Norton, Chandon, Ruca Malen, Altavista, Renacer, Baudron, Totals, a group of artisan wineries of Mendoza and the group The Small Winemakers were charged with conducting tastings.
The participating wineries highlighted this action to promote wine in this time of year and with an event so massive and important as the Copa America. “Wine in Mendoza America” was sponsored by the Fund for the transformation and growth, the Tourism Ministry and the Ministry of Culture.
