The Secretary of Tourism Jacqueline Plass, with Minister of Tourism of Argentina, Enrique Meyer, signed an agreement of understanding that establishes work together in terms of promoting tourism in long distance markets, enhance the quality and coverage of information technical cooperation and border crossings.
In the official residence of the embassy Argentina held the Memorandum of Understanding between the Minister of Tourism of Argentina, Enrique Meyer and Secretary of Tourism, Jacqueline Plass, whose main aim is to promote both destinations of both countries distant work continuously in the binational integration committees, provide technical expertise in sustainability, along with other materials, and enhance efforts to improve the performance of the services of travelers at border crossings.
This agreement will provide support through advice and information to promote Chile in distant countries such as, Middle East, Australia, South Africa, China, Singapore, Israel, Japan, Turkey, among others.
According to the Undersecretary of Tourism, Jacqueline Plass, “the pattern of tourist travel long distance is the Latin America and Chile specifically not in fact 48% of these, first passes through Argentina, it is so important to promotion and cooperation in conjunction with them.”
The agreement, also recorded material support quality tourist services, product support snow, hiking, astronomical tourism, fisheries, tourism and social statistics. In addition, joint participation in trade shows, familiarization trips, press and general public events.
“With this type of agreement seeks to promote the growth of tourism in Chile on the other hand, to reach distant destinations without these alliances we make it much harder to get,” said authority.
