The company Boliviana de Aviacion signed a letter of intent with the Salta government that establishes a shared interest in linking Skip to Bolivia through an air route, with the aim of promoting sustainable tourism momentum between the two territories.
“There are ties tourist, cultural and trade relations with Bolivia and is very important to continue strengthening them,” said Minister of Culture and Tourism of Salta, Mariano Shepherd, after signing a letter of intent with the airline Boliviana de Aviacion (BOA).
The document was signed within the framework of the International Fair of Northwest Argentina “Ferinoa 2012”, developed in the southern city of Salta, Shepherd and manager of BOA Regional Argentina, Rolando Penaloza.
The letter of intent, also signed by the secretary of Public Service Skip, Jose Ramirez, establishes a shared interest in linking through an air route to a Jump with Bolivia, with the aim of promoting sustainable tourism momentum between the two territories.
“Working to further enhance the destination is essential. Our Bolivian brothers visit us regularly, as well as many Salta travel to the neighboring country, “said Shepherd, who stressed the importance of getting the flights linking the province with Bolivia.
Meanwhile, Penaloza said BOA’s intentions are to start operations in the short term, as Skip “is a huge potential market”, according to advance, in principle it would travel between Salta and Santa Cruz, but in order to open new air routes in the future.
Boliviana de Aviacion is the flag airline of Bolivia and operates three years ago in that country, with operations in Argentina for two years, connecting Santa Cruz and Cochabamba with Buenos Aires.
