Find below the list of the 10 most beautiful places to visit in Argentina
Argentina is really extensive. From north to south you can find plenty of climates and landscapes. Entire route is almost impossible, unless you have a few months. There are beautiful places in all provinces. But standard as a traveler, you always have to choose certain destinations, and give up others, so I’ll give those pins.
Argentina is divided into 24 jurisdictions: 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which is the seat of national government. In the country there are three distinct areas, the north where the climate is always warmer tropical and even in some areas, the central or temperate plains and the south where the climate ranges from mild to cold Antarctic cold.
The country has 42 million inhabitants, which by extension the country is sparsely populated. The vast majority are concentrated in its capital, Buenos Aires, which is undoubtedly the number one city in the country, followed by cities such as Cordoba, Mendoza and Rosario.
Argentina is a place, although very attractive for tourism, which is just after the 2001 crisis, when the weight started it 3 times less than the dollar, he became a destination for many tourists. Following this, only now really getting ready to receive visitors. So you have to choose either to go, but visiting the places untouched yet tourist agents can be an extraordinary adventure, there are places that still do not know how to treat tourists. As in many countries, people in the interior has a special warmth and a more humane treatment to passengers, but the hotel and mobility is not easy.
In Argentina, I recommend one thing: patience with the distances, as the most beautiful places are far apart from each other. The pins are as follows:
1) BUENOS AIRES. No chance to come to Argentina and do not take time to meet its capital. It is a beautiful, incredibly contrasting landscapes, with artistic offerings and rides on a Saturday afternoon. By switching to the dollar, our currency is usually to foreigners, very cheap. Thus, I also recommend you do shopping.T he typical products such as leather are not the only offer and that today there are an infinite number of local young designers who have the highest European level.
2) IGUAZU FALLS, located 1600 km of Buenos Aires, is one of the most beautiful attractions of the country. They are located to the north, bordering Brazil and Paraguay. The park was created in 1934, and in 1984 declared by UNESCO as “Heritage of Humanity.” The falls are impressive and have water all year round. You can visit both the Brazilian and Argentine side, both are worth, at any time of year. From Buenos Aires, you can go by plane, Aerolíneas Argentinas that runs throughout the country. Unfortunately, Argentina has no train services …. unbelievable but true, so train travel can be forgotten. Plane or group is, if you have money you can rent a car, but that’s for sure is the most expensive of all, and the distances are so large that I recommend it.
The best located hotel is the Sheraton International in the iguazu Falls, it is the only one located “inside” the park and the park allows you to download anytime. So the rates are quite high. The rest of the hotels are out there offers Hindu places tucked into the jungle, but from them to the falls you have to go by bus and pay the park entrance.
Once in Iguazú, I recommend you stay no more than 3 days, at most 4. With this time is more than enough to know the park, a ride by boat to the waterfall and even cross the Brazilian side to meet in the day. Some time ago there was a very good helicopter tour, not whether it will be but it’s worth to size the enormity of the place, its forests and waters.
3) El Calafate, the city is better known in the area of the glaciers. Near this town is the airport and the glacier known: the “Perito Moreno”. The entire area of the glaciers was natural heritage site by UNESCO in 1981. One of the most amazing destinations in the country. Located southwest of the country, the best way to get there is by plane, bus or group that is really far (2787 km from Buenos Aires), more than 27 hours away. For adventurous travelers get to Calafate by bus can be very interesting, because during the trip, the landscape changes constantly, from the beautiful green plains, the southern desert to finally end up in the mountains, then snow first green through crystalline lakes and lakes turquoise water, but to be willing to spend a day traveling. And if not by air, clear day that also lets us appreciate the landscape, the passage is quite expensive but worth it.
The Park “Perito Moreno” is far from the city of Calafate, and accommodation is 99% within it, as there are many and the demand is very great need to make reservations early. You can safely stop at the city and go to the park by bus. There is only one hotel in the park and a more remote view, which is very, very nice but really expensive and exclusive called “The Notros”. The advantage of this hotel is quiet and the view, but no more nothing, for those who want nightlife, there’s not going to find.
The Perito Moreno glacier is not alone, there are several in the area but further afield. All worth it, but this is the most developed for tourism and the most spectacular. You can even walk on it, with special shoe pinches.
The days to stay, depending on the tour. If only the Perito Moreno with 3 days is enough. If you think cover the entire area may need to stay a week, and think about renting a car 3 or 4 days.
You can go at any time of year, although the most popular area is when there are breaks in the glacier.
4) THE ARGENTINE NORTH: To travel the north it takes several days. For me the nicest way of all is one that is made by car.Starting from the capital of the province of Tucuman, to Tafi del Valle, past the ruins of Quilmes, crossing the Quebrada del Humauaca to Salta, Calchaquíes Valleys and ending in Purmamarca in the province of Jujuy. It’s wonderful landscape and self worth renting for that, being careful while driving on the part of Tucumán which is mountain and forest with sharp bends. I made this trip by car and took two days, but I recommend doing at least 3 or 4 in order to visit other places in the area such as Salinas.
North can be reached by plane or bus, as always is more expensive a cheaper one. To make the journey by car can fly back from Tucuman and Salta. You can also go to Salta, to go to the “Train to the Clouds”, one of the three highest trains in the world. Hanging of vertiginous mountains, up in the clouds to cross the Andes, crossing old hanging bridges, zigzags and curly.
The three capitals of the three provinces, Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy are beautiful, worthy to walk and admire, with cathedrals and museums full of history of Argentina.
The North also is known for its traditional meals that you can not fail to try, some are “tamales” (that is wrapped in corn husks chopped), the “empanadas” (meat are in and according to the province change their ingredients, some have also potatoes, peas others, some are sweeter other more spicy) and the “locro” (a stew made with white corn to eat in winter). The best time of year to do this tour is at the end of summer or spring, when it does not really cold or really hot.In summer can be a little overwhelming during the day the heat in this area. Like we are not in the Sahara, so when I say I mean crushing quite hot, as you can visit all year round.
5) The vineyards of Mendoza, the province bordering the Andes, is known for its wine production. Here you can find beautiful rooms that offer accommodation and round-trips in the area, for those who love wine. You cover wineries; wines tasted and talk with experts while enjoying a unique landscape and a quiet spectacular. As always the best way to get there is by plane, by bus is 1500 km, about 18 hours away.
6) THE VALLEY OF THE MOON
I’ll tell you the truth, the place is amazing, but halfway across the country to go to meet, we must look forward. It is in the province of San Juan, but far from where the plane down. I went by car from Buenos Aires, and the routes are very busy due to traffic and sometimes dangerous. And this is a ride that one day enough. I recommend it only to those who have dreamed know that place. Do not get me wrong I insist, is an amazing park, but across the country to stay one night and see it, is much travel. It may be interesting to know someone to go through the area. For example, if you travel to Mendoza to see the vineyards, then rent a car to drive further south to the province of Neuquen in the lakes region, passed through San Juan, then Desviat and meet her.
7) THE BEACH: in January is the boom of the beach resorts. The entire coastal area begins about 300km bs as. I know that the people of Mar del Plata is offended when a city does not recommend, but for me the most beautiful of the coast is Pinamar Carilo. Both very close to each other. For those who want to see young people going out at night (the best known album is called Ku), and go to beaches that seem a club at 4 in the afternoon, I recommend Pinamar. Ufo Point beaches are like a swarm of cute boys and girls, and every season brings a fashionable beach and there they all go, it is always worth asking.
For those who want the comfort of sleeping in a coniferous forest in a fairy tale city I recommend Carilo.
No need to fly is more, before it could go by plane to Villa Gessell and then were re close, I think you can not travel directly, but you have to go to Mar del Plata and then travel by car to the area, an hour and a half. So the best option is the processor that takes about 5 hours.
Mar del Plata is the city’s most popular coastal party, but as I said is a “city” is a fairly large city, with beautiful beaches but sometimes the access to them is exhausting because the queues of cars on the waterfront and the number of people per square meter, at least to me, makes me a little escape to quieter destinations.
Among Pinamar Carilo two locations, sometimes so close together that you do not even realize: Ostend and Valeria del Mar. A prettier than the other, are often more familiar destinations and cheaper than the previous two.
As I said, time is January and February, although I have been in late December, late February or early March and are even more pleasurable, as prices fall and people leaving their homes partly free to enjoy the beaches.
The hotel offer is usually not very large, and in season there is no place anywhere, so many people rent apartments or houses. And if so, if you rent an apartment house, be careful with the theft. It has happened to us again and have no suitcase.
Puerto Madryn: This is one of the next destinations to which travel insurance, but still do not know. I went to the city to work, but no time to resort close to the point where you can see whales and penguins.Getting there From Federal Capital travel 1,400 km along National Route 3. Several airlines come to the city of Puerto Madryn (daily service) and others up to the city of Trelew (daily service), covering the route from the airport shuttle or taxi. They also work more than ten bus companies long distance to Puerto Madryn communicate daily with the rest of the country.
What more you visit the area is “Peninsula Valdes”. There you can see whales, sea lions, penguins, whales and dolphins.
9) Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, SAN MARTIN DE LOS ANDES and skiing.
If there is something nice in this country is the southern lakes region where these 3 cities. In summer and winter are preferred by tourists. Bariloche is the main town, the largest and ready for tourism. She reached by aircraft. Villa la Angostura Bariloche is located opposite the other side of Lake Nahuel Huapi, is a beautiful and very unique town, where even the locals is designed to keep the same aesthetic. And as a villa, is smaller and quieter. If I had to choose I like the narrowness. Where is the best ride to go fishing fly trout lakes or rivers, always with the consent payment and allowed only in places they are very strict on the subject. The boat rides on the lake are also a must. San Martin de los Andes, is a little further away, and it’s a city girl with a beautiful landscape. May which is perhaps attractive in winter when the ski slopes are open.
San Martin to Bariloche or vice versa, is the route of the “7 Lakes”, a lovely walk to car, not very extensive.
The road to La Angostura and San Martin are rather modest and family. The center’s number one ski resort Bariloche.
As there are places where ever if it snows or if it is good to check before you travel, seasons are generally very good, but we’ve had years with little snow in the base, or even any snow. Bariloche which makes it impossible not to ski, then you can climb equal to the highest peaks are always snow, but is a little cumbersome because you have to climb up and down aircraft seat.
Something that can not leave the area to try the typical food is! I promise you will regret not trying a smoked trout or smoked deer, let alone smoked cheeses and all these delights! Do not forget to buy candy … blueberry strawberry raspberry currant, will not eat others just like these!
10) TIERRA DEL FUEGO: This is another destination still pending. Far, far away from Buenos Aires, the only way to get there is by plane, or the final destination of a journey by car no less than a month, which is what I hope to do someday. Is that the city is small and not much to do, and that the most interesting are the cruises that take you to the Antarctic and walks in the parks in the area. Cruises are expensive, but must be unique.
