NATIONAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
The ground floor of 2,000 m2 , is dedicated to displaying collections of international art from the Middle Ages to the twenty-first century and nineteenth -century Argentine art . An important library specializing in art , whose current wealth is more than 150,000 pieces , completes the ground that is projected onto the parks boundaries.
The National Museum of Fine Arts ( NMFA ) of Argentina is located in the Avenida del Libertador 1473 of the City of Buenos Aires . Currently occupies the former pump house , building belonging to Recoleta Sanitation facilities of the Nation ( 1870 ) .

Teatro Colon
The Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires is considered one of the best theaters in the world . Renowned for its acoustics and the artistic value of its construction , its 100th anniversary in 2008 .
The present building is located between Cerrito , Viamonte , Tucumán and Freedom , in the heart of the city of Buenos Aires , and was inaugurated on May 25, 1908 with the opera Aida by Giuseppe Verdi. This building replaces the old Teatro Colon , erected on the block now occupied by the National Bank , facing the Plaza de Mayo , which operated between 1857 and 1888 .
The Planetarium
Galileo Galilei Planetarium is located at the intersection of Avenida General Sarmiento and Belisario Roldán , in Tres de Febrero Park , in the neighborhood of Palermo in Buenos Aires , Argentina .
Its dome is 20 m in diameter. On it can get to play 8900 fixed stars , constellations and nebulae.
Its first function was held in June 1967 and in 2011 underwent a series of major reforms .
New to the planetarium
Changes made during the reform were several :
Projector was installed MEGASTAR II A, which shows stars to a 11th magnitude, which would be about a million stars rather than conventional planetariums . In addition , projected over 140 clusters and nebulae and the Milky Way can be seen with a realism never before achieved . The projector is the first in the world to adopt LED lamps , replacing previous lamps a much higher electricity consumption .
The shows now have high-resolution images have DigitalSky II , a video system advanced full -dome covering the entire dome .
The amendment also added a new outer dome with green lighting and exchanged the normal 360 seats for a 4D type , incorporating a remote control that allows the viewer to interact during projection. Also the sound system was upgraded to digital 5.1
The lake that was in the park was recovered.
The Cabildo Museum
The Museum occupies the eighteenth century building which will work the City Council of the Trinidad and Puerto de Santa María de los Buenos Aires , capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. Luis Perlotti Sculpture Museum
The Sculpture Museum ‘s mission Luis Perlotti preserve, disseminate and promote the production and reception of sculpture Argentina in general and particular artist Luis Perlotti .
Located in the neighborhood of Caballito , the building, now renovated as a museum of sculptures especially corresponds to the home and studio where Perlotti did much of his sculptural and donated to the city in 1969.
Characterized by its thematic Americanist cutting its indigenous productions are complemented by monuments , reliefs and busts honoring personalities of culture and national politics. Textile collections , ponchos , blankets , belts , chuspas – and archaeological objects , acquired in successive trips to northern Argentina , Bolivia and Peru , also make up the patrimonial heritage museum .
Periodically, the ” Perlotti ” organizes artists working days before the public , contests sculptural sketches and drawings , and temporary exhibitions inside and outside the venue with the aim of promoting the work of contemporary sculptors .
The museum also has an important place of restoration and conservation : the museum workshop Ferraro – Battisti , acquired by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires , after the donation of almost all of the work of artists and Battisti Lydia Juan Carlos Ferraro , thus constituting a larger project which is to create a museum complex that enriches the urban environment.
